Overview

Our 2-day camping safari takes you to the world famous Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara National Park. A short but exciting tour where you will have a chance to see the “Big Five,“ large waterfowl colonies and tree climbing lions.

A 2-day safari, which already offers a whole series of highlights. You will visit Lake Manyara National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater. During the game drives you will see almost the entire biodiversity of the East African savannah. Accommodation is in tents at a campsite outside Lake Manyara National Park.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park – Lake Manyara Region

  • Morning pickup from your hotel after breakfast.

  • Drive to Lake Manyara National Park (approx. 3 hours).

  • Enjoy game drives to see pink flamingos, cormorants, pelicans, storks, and other bird species (about 400 different species).

  • Spot tree-climbing lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, and more.

  • Evening transfer to a campsite near Mto wa Mbu village.

Meals: Dinner

Day 2: Lake Manyara Region – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

  • Early breakfast and drive up the East African Rift Valley slopes to the Ngorongoro Crater.

  • Descend approximately 600 meters into the crater for game drives.

  • Witness the biodiversity including buffaloes, gnus, zebras, gazelles, and a high density of predators, including over 100 lions.

  • High chances to spot the “Big Five”: lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard.

  • Lunch inside the crater.

  • Afternoon drive back to Arusha.
